Description

A programme for the performance of 'Goodness, How Sad!' by Robert Morley at Colwyn Bay Repertory Theatre. The theatre company at Colwyn Bay performed a new show each week with performances commencing at 7.30. During this time, the company was run by Stanley Ravenscroft, an eccentric individual who had intended only to stay for nine weeks but was at the theatre for over twenty years. This performance starred Pauline Jameson who would go on to Hollywood and become close personal friends with luminaries such as Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier. The other performers in this production were Patricia Hastings, Clara Widdicombe, Betty Murgatroyd, Tom Denham, Maurice Jones and Maurice O'Brien.
