2-6. 4 silk cards embroidered in coloured silks sent by John Howard to his mother and sister Alice from France. [1916]
Endorse of 2: “with best love and god bless you and keep you till we meet again.”
4 is the reverse of 3.
Endorse of 5: “God be with you till we meet again; love from John xxxx.”
Endorse of 6: “Dear mother and alice; I hope you will receive my letter and card and let me know when you will; you loving son John xxxxxxx.”
7. Newspaper Cuttings: re. a memorial service at Llangoed parish church for Gunner John Grundy Howard R.F.A. who was killed in action June 3rd, 1917.
