Gareth Huws: Changing Town Life (Oral History, 2021)
Description
Holyhead underwent significant changes in the middle of the nineteenth century as the port grew in size and traffic and attracted new people to move into town.
Gareth Huws sat down with Ports, Past and Present and discussed the significant changes to the town of Holyhead in the shape of its buildings and infrastructure, but also with the influx of new workers from the more rural areas of Anglesey and their differing ways of life.
