This is a copy of the book recording the Minutes of Bois Dinefwr choir, September 1971-August 1975.
The choir was established in 1966 by Noel John as Bois Dinefwr. Due to an increase in membership the name was changed later to Côr Meibion Dinefwr.
Over the years there were many conductors including Elwyn Jones, Gerald Anthony, Edgar Jones, Gareth Wyn Thomas, Danny Williams and John Williams. Mrs Eira Thomas was one of the main accompanists for a number of years.
In the Minute Book there are notes on rehearsals, fundraising concerts providing varied entertainment for different groups. A Grand Concert was held yearly by the choir. The Secretary of the choir at this period was John B R Davies( Llandybie).
In October 1971, the choir took part in a concert to welcome a number of local British Lions back from a successful tour, also present were Cliff Morgan and Carwyn James. The soloist was Lavina Thomas.
The choir only rarely completed in Eisteddfodau at this time and this usually only locally. The Minute Book also contains tickets and programmes relating to the choir. Towards the end of the book there are photographs of social events and a summary of 45 concerts held between September 1971 and August 1975.
