By the end of the nineteenth century, Llandeilo had its fair share of performance venues, such as the chapels, the Civic Hall (or Drill Hall / Victoria Hall), Market Hall, and St Teilo's Church. These hosted countless concerts, fundraisers, and eisteddfodau, which drew audiences from far and wide. This is a programme of a Comic Opera "Merrie England" held at the Llandilo / Llandeilo Market Hal on 6, 7 and 8 May 1930. President was The Right Hon Lord Dynevor. Proceeds in aid of Local Charities. The event involved a large cast with individuals and chorus, a piano acccompaniment and a small orchestra.
