The 1911 census records JD Morse (John Devonald Morse, born 1858), a "farmer and brake proprietor" living at Great House, Laugharne. He was the son of John Devonald Morse who had moved to farm at Llandawke, Laugharne c1870. John was a County Councillor and a prominent member of the community including the Congregational Chapel. He died at The Pynes, Laugharne in 1935.
