A colour photograph of an unknown person standing in front of the entrance gates to Barry Island Holiday Resort, pointing to a sign which says 'DAY TRIPPERS'. The building behind the gates, which has a sign reading 'Boulevard', was at one point the location of a Butlins Holiday Camp, but was then sold to Majestic Holidays in 1987 and renamed Majestic Barry Island, before finally becoming the Barry Island Holiday Resort. The building sadly fell into disrepair and the holiday camp was shut, with the building being demolished and the land sold for housing development. At the site of the old holiday camp now stands the housing development Bryn Llongwr.
