Protest held in Liverpool against the flooding of Capel Celyn (Tryweryn), 21 November 1956

Description

Photographed by Geoff Charles. The police (in uniform and plain clothes) were waiting for the protestors on their arrival in Liverpool. Although they appeared cold and unwelcoming, they were kind to the protestors and even directed them to the Town Hall, where three of the protestors attempted to voice their protest in front of Liverpool Town Council.
