Information provided by owner: The stand was originally a wooden one and much lower. It was rebuilt in the late 60's when the new bridge was built to bypass the medieval Spudders Bridge and the road was widened. It was only in use as a milk stand for a few years, as they switched to a bulk tank instead of churns in the early 70's
