Westland Wessex Search and Rescue (SAR) Yellow helicopter landing at Ty Nant Islawrdref Dolgellau on the foothills of Cader Idris was used to help carry large rocks to the mountain to repair the footpath.
The helicopter was seen many times through out the years rescuing people who got into difficulties on Cader Idris, the aircraft was in dervice from 1961 to 2003 then replaced with the Sea King which was later phased out in 2015 where it was replaced with the red and white Sikorsky S-92s helicopter.
