Jackie has lived in the Aber Valley for 61 years and has enjoyed a long career as a hairdresser. In this interview Jackie discusses growing up in the area in the 60’s and 70’s, playing outside and the community being very close. She discusses her jobs and wages and the changes she has witnessed through the years in regard to the shops in the village and job opportunities. She also reflects on the 1984 miners strike and the effects it had on the local area.
