RHOHP 2018.111: Anti gas eye shields. anti-gas eyeshields, MK III in case with instructions for use and personal protection advice, issued during World War II. These eye shields were issued to all troops who carried respirators, a special pocket being provided for them in the respirator haversack. They were designed to be a first line of defence to protect the wearer from misted irritant gasses until he had time to don his mask proper.
