In the following PDF you will find extracts from the Metropolitan Police Operational Order for the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ii at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday, 2nd June, 1953. The document is 106 pages long and would probably have been issued to one of the senior officers on duty that day. The extracts I have selected show the number of provincial officers attending - with the Welsh ones highlighted. Hard to imagine the number of Home Office Forces and Constabularies that existed at that time - would be a bureaucratic nightmare to administer today !
