The mobile mechanical sawmill engine at work on the Hafod Estate. William T. Hughes (1891-1961) was a carpenter on the Hafod Estate for many years and wrote about his life on the estate and in the Cwmystwyth area in 'Atgofion Dau Grefftwr' published by Cymdeithas Lyfrau Ceredigion in 1963.
