Pony and trap at The Arch, Cwmystwyth
Description
This photograph shows a horse and trap going under the rustic Arch which Thomas Johnes of Hafod had built to mark the Silver Jubilee of King George III. The foundation stone was in October 1809 and the Arch was officially dedicated in 1810. From the clothing worn, the period is probably late Victorian or early Edwardian.
