Description
This photo shows the pulpit and one of the benches used in Ysgoldy Bethel (Bethel Sunday School). Ysgoldy Bethel was built on Tainewyddion land in Rhospeiran, Cwmystwyth by Mr Thomas Davies, Pantyrodyn, the village carpenter. It held 60 people and was opened in September 1903 by Rev. DH Lloyd ('Lloyd y Cwm'). The last service was held there in 1941 and the building demolished in 1974. The furnishings were also made by Thomas Davies and the pulpit is now in Capel Siloam in Cwmystwyth.
