In boredomresearch’s Mini Moss Landscapes Workshop in 2024, students from Newtown College, Powys were asked to bring in a small object from their past that had once been important to them. Objects that now, as they transition into adults they were happy to leave behind. Each participant was given the task of building a miniature moss film set, where the moss would appear to be engulfing their objects as though they had been abandoned in the landscape. This allowed the students to make connections with the moss and something that was precious to them. These images were created as part of the ‘Natur am Byth!’ species recovery and engagement programme
