Roman Victory Plaque

Description

This plaque is made from a copper alloy and depicts a winged Victory carrying a trophy over her right shoulder. It may have been an element from parade armour which was worn during formal parades to mark religious festivals, the emperor's birthday and other ceremonial occasions at Isca (Caerleon).
