The village of Dolgarrog grew hugely in size as a result of Aluminium Corporation Limited basing their works there. A large proportion of the village's population worked there at one time and the company was involved in many aspects of village life. This photograph depicts the victory parade though Dolgarrog following the end of the First World War. Many managers and employees are in the parade, the figure dressed as John Bull to the left of the picture is manager Mr Hartley.
