Aluminium Corporation Limited, Dolgarrog works
Description
After several changes in ownership, an independent concern, Dolgarrog Aluminium Limited was formed in 2002. It closed in 2007, 100 years after the first aluminium company came into being in Dolgarrog in 1907.
The company's archives are now held by the Conwy Archive Service and are being catalogued thanks to a grant from the National Cataloguing Grants Programme for Archives, 2009.

This photograph was taken by W I Roberts ( Chief Metallurgist) from Aluminium Coporation in the summer of 1981 by ascending the pipeline steps to the valve house and then traversing north to a rocky outcrop that provided an "aerial view" of the Dolgarrog Aluminium Works and the National Power Hydroelectric Power Station. He was accompanied by a newly appointed Development Metallurgist called Martyn Alderman who had just joined the staff from British Aluminium's Rheola Works in Resolven, Neath.
