Livestock market, Builth Wells, 1955

Description

This photograph shows the busy scene at the weekly livestock market in Builth Wells. This was the chief activity of rural market towns like Builth for a very long time, with only the clothes, the means of transport, and the relatively recent advance of enclosures for the animals being traded, marking the passing years. Picture by T. W. Lansdell of Builth Wells.
