Thomas Hector Rees - 'My Adventures and Experiences in the Great War'
Description
After the war Thomas Hector Rees wrote an account of his 'adventures and experiences in the Great War', running from his enlistment at Caerphilly on 7 September 1914 through to the end of the war (although the account ends abruptly in mid-sentence). He describes his time serving in the Royal Army Service Corps, looking after the horses on the Western Front. After the war, he returned to his old job as a miner, but he died aged 48 of lung disease.
