Private John Llewellyn Job letter 16 July 1916

Description

Private John Llewellyn Job served with the East Lancashire Regiment in Salonika, Greece. This is a letter to his parents in Manselton, from Salonika, written on 16 July 1916, in which John is in good spirits: '... we are stationed at Salonika, how long of course I couldn't say but I hope it's for duration of war - we are in some garrisons(?) which are situated on the sea front, indeed for the last week it has been more of a holiday than Active Service...'
