This aerial photographs shows the 1950Glamorgan v West Indies cricket match during play atSt Helens, Swansea on the 7th August (day 2 of a3-day match). The result was match drawn.
St Helens ground in Swansea, built on a sandbank, is used for both rugby and cricket and has staged first-class cricket ever since Glamorgan joined the County Championship in 1921. It is also the home ofSwansea Rugby Football Club.
