This photograph from the Aluminium Corporation Brochure was taken by W I Roberts ( Chief Metallurgist) in the summer of 1981 by ascending the pipeline steps to the valve house and then traversing north to a rocky outcrop that provided an "aerial view" of the Dolgarrog Aluminium Works and the National Power Hydroelectric Power Station. He was accompanied by a newly appointed Development Metallurgist called Martyn Alderman who had just joined the staff from British Aluminium's Rheola Works in Resolven, Neath.
