The abandoned village of Nant Gwrtheyrn c1975

Description

Shortly after the quarries closed in the 1940s people started moving away and the village gradually fell into disrepair. By the 1970s the village was in a ruinous state. During this period the New Atlantis Commune took up residence in the Nant and the condition of the houses dramatically declined.
