This is a copy of the a few pages of the  "baby book" given to new mums, it has instructions for how to care for your new baby! This copy was my mums form 1962.

I haven't scanned the whole thing, but the chapter headings give a flavour of the instructions, makes putting an IKEA flat pack together a piece of cake...
