15 St Albans Road, Tynewydd, Treorchy
Description
This house has altered very little over the past 120 years - driving up through Tynewydd and you will be able to instantly recognise it. This postcode was sent in 1904 - the house was likely built for a colliery official but at the time of the 1901 census it was occupied by John Walters and his family. John was a retired grocer - it could well be him and his family who can be seen in the doorway. The house was occupied in later years by a local GP.
