Dearest, we all go on Monday , it is still possible I may go on Sunday , but not very likely. Anyhow you can hardly write here after you get this. If you posted on Saturday morning I might hear on Sunday morning but I might be gone before the post. So I shall not expect anything.
I am resting my ankles in shoes today, but all this afternoon I had to hang about the guns doing no physical work at all and it was cold. It wouldn’t have been so bad if there had been anything very interesting going on.
Thorburn goes with the guns on Saturday. He has been on my nerves most of the time and I should be glad if he had a single ticket for Timbuktu.
This will leave at 6.30 p.m. if I finish now so I will.
Freeman is at Bath and I may see him on Saturday .
Goodbye . kiss the children Edw
