Description

Letter from Edward Thomas to his wife, Helen Thomas. Archival reference: 424/1/1/1/1/72
17 Woodville St.

My dearest friend,
I am coming
back as I said, on Wednesday
Evening too late to see
you that night. As for
Thursday write home and
tell me where and when I
shall meet you; any time
will be convenient of
course, but the earlier and nearer the better; for
my cough is not well, nor
will the train journey improve it.
It's fine weather here now.
I was sorry my letter
posted early on Saturday did
not reach you that night.
But all is well now, silly
and short as my letter was.
Goodbye. I am busy and flurried.
Ever yours Edwy.
My own sweet little one,
Adieu.
