My dear Gorodn,
I hope all is well with you
& Emily. I ought to have written
before but have filled my days with
writing & much seeing of people &
exhaustion etc. Now I am just going
home to finish the book. Everyone has
been away at the seaside & we shall
like seeing one another again. My visit
to London has brought no work. But
I have some to go on with - another
booklet for Balsford on Gestary. Now
that is why I wrote to you this
moment, - to ask you to
put me on to some books or
poems or stories throwing light
on rapture & man's belief
at various times and something
can clear things up for him without
the immediate help of the intellect. The
subject is endless but any
references will be valuable.
The book (on the journey) will
not be finished much before the end
of June. After that I shall
try to come to you, & I hope
you will be able to have me if I can.
Goodbye,
Yours & Emily's ever
Edward Thomas
