Shaping Nations Workshop 5 : Community Cooking Workshop
Description
A Community Cooking workshop in Brynamman, Carmarthenshire in October 2024 where we connected local people with people from other cultures through food! Local people were taught how to make delicious dishes by volunteers from the Middle East, Africa and the Gulf.
Food prepared included Dolma (stuffed vegetables using ingredients like vine leaves, onions, zucchini, or peppers filled with rice, minced meat, herbs, and spices), Madfoon (A traditional Yemeni dish featuring slow-cooked, marinated lamb served with Saffron rice), Moroccan Chicken and Shorbat Adas (Red lentil soup).
