Ceri Asserati - Trustee for Valleys Kids
Description
Ceri first became involved with Valleys Kids around 15 years ago through an Arts & Business Cymru programme while working for the Admiral Group. Initially matched as a mentor for the fundraiser, she later joined the Board and has now been a trustee for around 12 years. She also serves as Chair of Valleys Creative, the organisation’s commercial fundraising arm.
Ceri sees Valleys Kids as hugely important, both personally and within the community. She has witnessed its transformative impact on people of all ages, from young people whose lives have changed through support, to older adults who describe the organisation as a “lifeline.” She highlights the dedication and passion of the staff, which she finds inspiring and motivating.
Ceri believes Valleys Kids is vital to the communities it serves—especially after Covid—providing social connection and support that many people would otherwise lack. She feels proud and humbled to be part of the organisation.
