Christopher Howe (Welsh Hero)

1861 to 1865 • Company B, Nineteenth New York Infantry, Elmira, New York City

Fought in the American Civil War for the Union side (opposing slavery) and good for him! On June 5th 1861, they were sent to Washington DC and guarded the city as part of the defensive garrison.
