Schools the last hope of the Welsh Language

Description

These are pages 172 and 173 of the printed report Welsh in Education and Life, published by the Department Committee appointed by the President of the Board of Education to inquire into the position of the Welsh Language in 1927. The conclusion of the Report says that it is upon schools that the salvation of the language will depend. It draws attention to problems with language education in Wales and the 'mongrel Welsh' that many teachers use.
