Description
Aerial photograph showing Neath in 1959. The rugby football and cricket grounds, Victoria Gardens and allotments are all visible.
The Gnoll cricket grounds were originally part of the Gnoll Estate, owned by industrialists who also owned Gnoll House located south-east of the cricket grounds. The grounds are now home to both the Neath RFC and Cricket club. The cricket club was established in 1848. The grounds have pavillions and capacity for 6000 people. Click to enlarge.
