Cambrian Mills machinery sale catalogue, Llanidloes, 1932 [image 1 of 4]

Description

A sale catalogue for the disposal of specialised machinery previously used for woollen manufacture at the Cambrian Mills in Llanidloes. The Cambrian Mill, built in 1852, was the largest in the district, and employed 250 workers in the 1880s. The local industry could not compete with the mills of northern England and slowly declined, with the last factory closing in the 1930s.
