These are pages 4-5 from the booklet Barry for Varied Enjoyment: The Gem of Welsh Seaside Resorts published by Barry Urban District Council Town Development Committee. The booklet is undated but probably from 1930s.
One page is an advertisement for "The Felden" at Cold Knapp, the 'Modern Guest House' with hot and cold water at basins in the rooms and electric light. Described as idea for people in delicate health, it also has a sunlounge facing the sea and is close to all the attractions Barry can offer. The facing page advertises "The Gwalia" Private Hotel, like "The Felden", offering excellent cuisine. Both hotels are managed by women.
