Description
One of a series of photographs taken in the early 1900s showing Briwnant Cottages, the zinc Shop (Briwnant Stores) in the middle of the village and the former coaching inn at Pentre Briwnant. The old inn was called the Fountainhead Inn and it may have been here that Iolo Morganwg stayed when visiting Hafod Mansion to copy Welsh manuscripts collected by Thomas Johnes of Hafod.
