Wind Street, Swansea
Description
Wind Street Swansea showing the Ben Evans department store probably not long after its opening in 1894
Personal Memories:
The famous Ben Evans store with the Vivian statue in the foreground. My mother-in-law (born 1906) talked a lot about going to Ben Evans. My son lives in Vivian Street.

This is not Wind Street, although the photograph is taken from there. Castle Square is behind the Hussey Vivian statue, the turning mid-frame left is Caer Street, whilst the Ben Evans store is on Castle Bailey Street. The narrow street top-centre of the frame is Castle Street.
