Going for a walk through this woodland on the side of a hill near Maenan in the Conwy Valley, You would be forgiven for not noticing this castle site, located on a spur of rock, now covered in a tangle of scrub woodland and most ruinous. The castle is sometimes know by the alternative name of Caer Olau.
