Research Buildings, Ynyslas Military Camp

Description

One of the few surviving research buildings from the core of the Ynyslas Military Camp. It is believed that the camp had 5 laboratory huts -three for use by Radar Research Defence Establishment (RRDE) as laboratories and stores;one for use Signals Research adn Devlopment (SRDE) for telemetry; and one for the AGE for servo work. There was also a large hut fitted out as dark room for developing radar tracking records, telemetry plates and kine-theodolite films.
We would love to hear from former serving personnel or their descendants to learn more about the everyday life of the camp. Please contact Reader's Services at the RCAHMW, or add your own content to this collection.
