Ynyslas Military Camp, 2006
Description
The outline of 12 huts and the access tracks which joined them together can clearly be seen as a parchmark in the field to the east of the main street.
It is still uncertain whether these huts provided accommodation for the 9 officers and 202 ordinary ratings which were assigned to the camp, or whether their purpose was to store various types of liquid rocket fuels.
We would love to hear from former serving personnel or their descendants to learn more about the everyday life of the camp. Please contact Reader's Services at RCAHMW or add your own content to the Ynyslas at War Collection.
