This portable field communion set was used in France (1915-18) by Reverend Thomas Bowen Williams of Aberystwyth whilst serving as Army chaplain. He was the curate of St Michael's Church, Aberystwyth, before his appointment as a chaplain in November 1915. He donated his field communion set to the National Musuem of Wales in August 1919. The case contains two cloths, two communion cups and Holy Communion book.
