Description

The Town Hall to Pontypool was officially opened in 1856. The architects Bidlake and Lovett of Wolverhampton designed the building after winning a competition, and it was built by William Prosser of Abergavenny. To the right you can see the Police Station that was relocated to behind the Town Hall later in the century.
