The Corn Market, Pontypool

Description

The Corn Market was the first Market building on Pontypool. Built in 1730 by Mrs. Frances Bray, Lady of the Manor of Llantarnam - this is all clearly documented in the English and Welsh engraved panels on the frontage.
The building has had many uses - but for many local people it will always be known as Hughes.
