Harlech Castle pano
Description
One of the Norman built castles of Edward I's around the heart of the Welsh resistance to Norman/English oppression during the late 13th century. This panoramic photo has been hand stitched from 22 individual images and the distance from my central position in the inner bailey to the various parts of the curtain walls are what gives the distorted view of the tops of the walls, which are relativley level. The two smaller towers denot the seaward wall (the longest) with the two larger towers forming the impresive gatehouse. looking at the tower to the right edge of the image is the 360degree mark and is the left tower of the gatehouse. Images taken 28 August 2009.
