The First Association, 1743
Description
This print based on a painting by Hugh Williams (1812), shows the foundation of the First Methodist Association in Wales in 1735. Seated at the table are the three principal leaders of the welsh Methodist revival, they are William Williams, Pantecelyn (1719 - 1791) (third from left): Howel Harris, Trefeca (1714 - 1773) (fourth from left) and Daniel Rowland (1713 - 1790) Llangeitho ( fifth from left).
