Grave in memory of Richard William in area A at St John's church, Ysbyty Cynfyn (A99). See plan for area A for the grave's location in the graveyard.
Inscription A99: here/ lieth the Body/ of RICHARD, WILLIAM/ Glanrhyd-garneuog/ Buried August, 11th, 1820/ Aged 42 Years/ Er geni heddyw ddyn i'r byd,/ Mewn bywyd, i anadlu,/ Rhaid myn'd i'r bedd o'r manybo/ At feirwon eto' fory.
Description: highly decorated stone. Here is carved in an elaborate script with a flower coming off the last e. There is a cross in the centre above the text with two star/flowers either side. There are geometric fan shapes at the top corners of the stone. Around the edge of the monument there is a repetitive design. The space above the cross to the edge of the monument is filled with lines, arch designs, oval shapes and square features.
This grave was photographed as part of a Graveyard Survey carried out with the help of volunteers in 2013.
