Pair of Roman boot soles with hobnails
Description
A pair of actual Roman boot soles with hobnails from a third century grave at Usk.
The leather has not survived but the iron hobnails have corroded together. In the background is a grey pottery food storage jar and pot lid.
About 1,750 years old.
